Number of Units:

• Four existing compressors filter, treat, and compress the landfill gas. The gas is then pumped 2 miles to the County Correctional Facility, where there are two steam boilers that process and heat steam, and three 850 kw engine-generators for electricity.
• Three new compressors will be replacing the four existing ones. The new combustion engines, with a total generating capacity of 4.2 MW, will be installed in a new generator building adjacent to an existing compressor building at the landfill site.
